Superb Art Nouveau Majolica Jardiniere by Julius Dressler. C 1900.

Julius Dressler was a noted Bohemian ceramics manufacturing company, who operated from the late 19th century until the end of World War II. Founded by Julius Dressler in the 1880s in Biela, part of (Tetchen) Bodenbach in Northern Bohemia. The company produced high Quality decorative faience, majolica and porcelain items. Dressler gained international recognition for his Art Nouveau - Jugendstil - Secessionist ware.

This lovely Jardiniere measures 83cm tall ( Pedestal 61cm + bowl 22cm high ) Diameter of the bowl is 29cm and the base of the pedestal is also 29cm diameter. It has an old repair to the back of one of the “feet”, which is only visible if you hold the base upside down. Otherwise excellent vintage condition.
