Anton Michelsen established his company in 1841 in Copenhagen and became one of the most important jewellery families in Denmark. After a short while, the company received it's first commission from the Royal Family. The company has been part of Georg Jensen since 1985.
The Daisy design was first developed in 1940, when the now retired Queen Margrethe ( Marguerite - Daisy ) was born and christened. Her mother Queen Ingrid was presented with a Daisy Brooch.
This beautiful brooch measures 5cm diameter. Weight 30.6g. There is small silver detail on one petal, which is quite rare. Comes with original box. Excellent condition.
