Danish sterling silver gilt and enamel Christmas Spoon. 1922.

These spoons were first started by silver smith Anton Michelsen, Copenhagen in 1910. They made a different shape and pattern every year, with different designers creating varied Christmas theme. This design is called Holly and was designed by Bertha Dorph.

This beautiful spoon with red Holly berries and spike leaves topped by the star of Bethlehem is 15.5cm long. Excellent vintage condition. I have several other years of this collection, please don’t hesitate to contact if you are looking for a specific year.
