Large Danish sterling silver “Redcurrant” pendant on original sterling silver chain.
The lineage of the Nielsen business dates back to 1942. The company later expanded and became an international conglomerate, receiving the Frederik IX honorary award for meritorious effort in export. Kurt Nielsen trained at Georg Jensen in the 1950s before becoming the artistic director at KNDK.
This lovely redcurrant pendant is 8cm long including the bale. The pattern is oxidised to emphasize the shape of the berries. The chain is adjustable from 78cm - 68cm - 58cm. Total weight 18.5g. The pendant can be worn on a shorter heavier chain or torque.
