Georg Jensen sterling silver and pale blue enamel “Daisy” brooch. The design was first developed in 1940, when the present Danish queen was born and christened Margrethe ( Marguerite - Daisy ) and the Daisy is the Danish national flower. The pattern became part of Danish life style. The first “Daisy” pieces were in silver gilt and white enamel, but later many other colours were introduced by Georg Jensen. This very pale blue example is quite rare. The brooch is in perfect condition with no damage to the enamel.
Measures 4cm diameter. Weight 16.5 g. Comes with Georg Jensen box.
